Office of Workers Compensation Programs - OWCP

The Office of Workers' Compensation Programs administers four major disability compensation programs which provide wage replacement benefits, medical treatment, vocational rehabilitation and other benefits to certain workers or their dependents who experience work-related injury or occupational disease.

Categories

Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation - DEEOIC
The mission of the program is to provide lump-sum compensation and health benefits to eligible Department of Energy nuclear weapons workers (including employees, former employees, contractors and subcontractors) and lump-sum compensation to certain survivors if the worker is deceased.
Federal Employees Compensation Program - DFEC
The Federal Employees' Compensation Act provides workers' compensation coverage to three million Federal and Postal workers around the world for employment-related injuries and occupational diseases. Benefits include wage replacement, payment for medical care, and where necessary, medical and vocational rehabilitation assistance in returning to work.
Longshore and Harbor Workers Compensation Program - DLHWC
Provide medical benefits, compensation for lost wages, and rehabilitation services to employees who are injured during the course of employment or contract an occupational disease related to employment. Survivor benefits also are provided if the work-related injury causes the employee's death.
Division of Coal Mine Workers Compensation - DCMWC
Mission: To adjudicate and process claims filed by our nation's coal miners and their survivors under the Black Lung Benefits Act.
